Punta House

History of the work

The open and open terrain, a kind of non-environment, imposed challenges for the creation of private and sheltered spaces. The single-story house then built its own boundaries and, on one side, opens onto the view of the dam and, on the other, defines the space by means of an internal courtyard circumscribed by walls made with local stone ('piedras lajas', also used on the floor).

This project radicalizes the horizontal proportion to such an extent that the house ceases to have an external materiality (expressed by the relationship between height and length of the façade) and becomes practically a line in the landscape.
